Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy virtually reviewed relief programmes in the cyclone affected areas with the respective district officials on Tuesday.

He directed officials to restore the electricity supply on a war-footing and provide compensation within 48 hours in case of loss of people and livestock. The officials from various departments told him that they are fully braced up to face the affects of the severe cyclonic storm. The Navy and NDRF have put their men and machinery along with helicopters and boats ready.

Rs.22 crore ha# been released for immediate action. Senior IAS officers have been sent to eight districts. The government has opened 52 rehabilitation centers in Anakapalli district. Arrangements have been made to accommodate more than 60,000 people.

One lakh tonnes of grain has been purchased. Action has been taken to prevent 4 lakh tonnes of grain from getting wet.

A holiday has been declared for schools across Eluru district. The Electricity Department has set up a toll free number 9440902926 in Eluru. Financial aid ranging from Rs.1,000 to Rs2500 for camp evacuees has been arranged. Compensation for house collapse or damage has been increased from Rs. 8,000 to Rs.10,000.
